Charles and Julia are working as training cadre
and military advisors on the new Oliver Stone movie, "Alexander."
Not just swords this time, either. Sarissas, javelins, bows
and arrows, slingshots, and more will all be seen in this
epic film.
Watch for them training like mad to prepare the actors for
a difficult historical shoot.

Payson Burt returned for his fourth year to the Colorado
Shakespeare Festival as production Fight Director.
The season consisted of:
"The Taming of the Shrew", "Much
Ado About Nothing", and "Hamlet".

Greg Dolph traveled to Ohio to install The Batman &
Robin Water Thrill Spectacular at Six Flag's Worlds of Adventure
just outside Cleveland. Greg acted as director and stunt coordinator
for the water based stunt show.

Greg Dolph returned from Germany where he installed "UFO
Invasion" a water ski stunt show. The show, his third
one for Holiday Park, features extreme ski acts, pyro techniques,
and a 150 foot slide for life across a lake.

Payson, Greg, and Charles worked on New
Line Cinema's "Second Hand Lions" a Tim McCanlies
Film starring Robert Duvall, Michael Cain and Haley Joel Osment.
They were the "sword team" working under sword master
Anthony DeLongis. Film to be released in September.

Payson Burt worked in Louisiana where he taught movement
and Mask at the LSU Theatre department. Payson was also Fight
Director for The Two Gentlemen of Verona directed by John
Dennis at the Swine Palace.

Julia Dewey Dye, Ph.D worked as Associate Venue Producer
for the Salt Lake Ice Center for the Salt Lake 2002 Winter
Olympic Games. She was responsible for Figure Skating and
Short Track Speed Skating. Her duties included writing scripts,
assisting in all production duties at the venue, and managing
the audience experience. Welcome back Julia, and good job!

Charles started his training in fencing at Rowan
University in 1984, and served as resident instructor & choreographer
from 1986 to 1991. He has staged fights for companies including
the Virginia Shakespeare, Glassboro Summer Theatre, Pennsylvania
and Four Winds Renaissance Faires, Totally Fun Co., and the
Castle Green Shakespeare. |

Dr. Dewey Dye has a diverse and richly textured
background from which she has developed techniques for instruction
in a variety of fields. Her graduate degree in Theatrical
Hoplology prepared her to look at cultural approaches
to conflict and their application to performance. |

Originally from Indiana, Greg has worked throughout
the nation as an Actor, Director and Fight Choreographer.
He has staged fights at The Cincinnati Playhouse, Virginia
Shakespeare Festival, Busch Gardens, Six Flags, and The Pennsylvania
Renaissance Faire. |

Payson is an award winning actor and fight director.
He is Certified as both a Fight Director and Teacher of stage
combat through the Society of American Fight Directors (SAFD).
He is author of the book Of
Paces; a footwork manual for stage combat. |

Tim has worked as an actor, stuntman, and fight
director for over 15 yrs. He has also performed in live stunt
shows for Six Flags Magic Mountain and Universal Studios in
Hollywood and Osaka, Japan. Besides teaching martial arts
for the past 10 yrs, Tim was a faculty instructor of Stage
Combat at the American Musical & Dramatic Academy in NYC
for 5yrs. |

Trampas Thompson is a professional stuntman
and a member of the Stuntmen’s Association of Motion
Pictures. He is recognized among stunt professionals as one
of the “go to” guys in town for sword training.

Actor, Director, Educator and Combat Instructor,
Robert has worn several hats in the industry. Currently he
serves as the Chair of the Stage Combat Department at the
American Musical and Dramatic Academy here in Los Angeles.
Robert holds an MFA from Temple University,
a BFA from Stephens College as well as being a graduate of
the Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts, PCPA.

Patrick has appeared in many Pasadena Shakespeare
Company productions, and made his PSC directing debut with
The Taming of the Shrew. Elsewhere, he has served as actor,
director and/or combat choreographer with companies such as
San Jose Repertory, The American Players Theatre, Riverside
Shakespeare Company, The Protean Theatre Company, the New
York Renaissance Festival, Tulane University, U.W. Milwaukee
and the Berkeley, Utah, Virginia, Kentucky, Wisconsin and
Oklahoma Shakespeare Festivals. |
