to promoting and perpetuating the Art of Historical Swordfighting
& Theatrical Swashbuckling. Since 1988, The Academy has used
Certified Teachers, Fight Directors, and Actor Combatants trained
in methods taught by The Society of American Fight Directors.

British Academy of Stage & Screen Combat is an educational
organization dedicated to developing and promoting the art of staged
violence. Our philosophy is focused on safety and the belief that

Duelists match wit & witticism, insult & innuendo, combat
& comedy for a completely original and comedic take on dueling
and swordsmanship. Using rapiers, swords & shields, maces, halberds,
whips, axes and a ball & chain, The Duelists perform for Corporate
and Special events, film premiers, and renaissance festivals, throughout
the US and abroad.
Fight
Directors, Canada, is recognized internationally as a regulatory
and educational body for fight direction and performance in Canada,
and is a federally incorporated, not-for-profit professional association.

Fights4,
the school is special in it that not only would it be recognized
by the Society of American Fight Directors, But, it would have as
its faculty not one, or two but four SAFD sanctioned Fight Directors.
Drawing on their collective 50 years of teaching stage combat, Fights4
has trained nearly 300 students in all eight SAFD weapon forms since
its inception.
Film
Fighting LA- The Film Fighting LA Club (FFLA) is an elite performance
team skilled in contemporary and traditional weaponry and combat
styles. They perform for film, television, theater, corporate, and
special events.

The
Lady Cavaliers is a NYC based theater company that was founded
to promote a stronger female image and raise awareness of historical
women warriors by specializing in the art of stage combat. We create
original work in theater and film, as well as run educational workshops
to challenge the stereotype of the "weaker sex". This
award-winning company includes actors, directors, fight directors,
teachers, writers and stuntwomen who have credits ranging from feature
films and television to Off-Broadway, national and international
tours.
The
New York Fight Ensemble is a group of actors, directors, writers,
fight choreographers and instructors, who also have extensive skills
and experience in the art of stage combat.

Rapier
Wit is Canada's oldest continuous stage combat school and production
company. Rapier Wit was founded in Toronto, Canada by Daniel Levinson
in 1991, and established its first permanent studio in 1996.
Rapier Wit’s goal is to promote action-motivated theatre
and the art of stage combat by training actors, stunt people, directors,
and stage management in the art of theatrical violence. We do this
through structured and unstructured classes, fight direction and
choreography, special workshops, various productions and our comic
fight troupe, The Rude Mechanicals.
The
Ring of Steel, a nonprofit, educational organization located in
Ann Arbor, Michigan, dedicated to developing and promoting the art
of stage violence. As the largest theatrical fencing salle in the
nation, Ring of Steel teaches classes, provides in-house workshops,
choreographs shows, and maintains an aggressive performance schedule
in a wide variety of venues.
